<<There's only one ethernet port on this pic, but the review sounds like it has two ("If you look directly above the USB ports, you will notice the integrated Ethernet ports"). Or am I missing something?>>

Good call. Could it be a modem in one of them USB stacks?

It's compatible, but not compliant 🙂

Well after reading Anand's preview, I have to admit that I had been hoping things would be different this time in regards to avialability. To be honest, I ahd hoped that this would be a review and that bopards would hit by mid-August. But oh well, the truth is the market isnt going to change that much between now and then. Yes KT400 will be here in reference boards, and possibily boards with it will be here and that could make it tough, but I personally think that they have got the right stuff. It should be interesting, but I have to agree with Anand, this chipset may not fully take off until HAMMER

ok anand review cleared up a lot for me unlike some other sites that just seem to confuse me some. can't wait to build a few systems on this.

Will the HAMMER be pin-compatible with the first nForce 2 boards? So I can go ahead and get a brandy new nForce 2 board next month (hopefully), and then drop in a HAMMER chip at Christmas as my first upgrade?

No, Hammer will need new chipsets, and motherboards and it will abandon Socket A.
