I'm not sure if people appreciate wit like they used to, it would be interesting. I think he may be too curious and open-minded to have success. People like the illusion of a politician who has the answers, not one who is willing to admit that there are two sides to any argument.

Although, I'm not sure which John Stewart you might be talking about. I assume you mean Jon Stewart from Comedy Central.

Maybe because the nation and the world have real problems that need real solutions...

Problems don't get solved by only acknlowding there are two sides to an argument. Which isn't even what John Stewart does-- he simply makes fun of both sides of the argument.

It makes for good comedy but terrible leadership.

That's not even funny. He'd totally blow GW out of the water when it comes to everything from common sense to the difficult decisions. Not only would he do better making decisions, his cabinet would be less likely to be corrupt. I don't know how Dick Cheney sleeps at night.

What is so good about Jon Stewart? Why is he so special? Because he constantly comes up with clever Bush jokes?

He is a good comedian, but lets not get carried away here.

Oh wait, I don't want to offend the Jon Stewart fans here so I'll just say "Jon in 08". Happy?

Thats the thing. Jon doesn't even come up with any of his jokes, the writers for the daily show do. Jon Stewart isn't a funny man, he looks funny because he has good writers.

Now Dave Chappelle, theres a man who is funny

Eh? It makes for good leadership too. Otherwise you have someone who burrows their way past a reasonable solution beacuse they only see one side of the coin. It's called making informed decisions.
