Free doughnuts for National Doughnut Day

Dunkin' Donuts and other national chains and local shops are offering a free doughnut on Friday in recognition of a holiday started in 1938 to honor Salvation Army volunteers -- and its not bad marketing either.

For National Doughnut Day Friday, Dunkin' Donuts will give customers a free doughnut of thier choice with any beverage purchase at most locations, while supplies last. It is making the offer global for the first time this year, extending it to 31 countries.

We’re bringing this special donut offer to Dunkin’ Donuts fans in 31 countries across the globe, making this our first-ever worldwide donut celebration. - See more at: http://www.dunkindonuts.com/DDBlog/2013/05/save_the_date_natio.html#sthash.88BvXx95.dpuf

It is also using the opportunity to laucnch its glazed doughut breakfast sandwich -- fried egg and bacon inside a sliced glazed doughnut.

You don't even have to buy the coffee at Krispy Kreme.

Krispy Kreme, which has a suburban Chicago location in Elk Grove Village, will be giving away a free doughnut of any variety to every customer at participating locations, while supplies last.

If you're traveling and near a Tim Hortons, you can get a free doughnut if you print off its coupon on Facebook.

In Chicago, the Salvation Army is having a public kick-off event downtown at Federal Plaza from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. There will be free donuts and live entertainment.

Will the banks be open?

Jesus...

The other day my wife told me it was "National Hoop Day". Where the fuck to people come up with this shit. Then I thought about it. From hence forth, The third Friday of July every year will be "National Dan Day". If you are a Dan or Daniel, that's your day. If you're a "Danny", sorry bro.

Croughnut? I work about 2 blocks away from NYCs latest douche-fad, the Croughnut. $5 each. unfuckingbelievable.
