rogue, i love the style of bike like yours. does that genre have any sort of name associated with it?

The old bike, a little worse for wear
The new bike

The Viragos have been describer as "chopper-ish" but it's just a cruiser, that's all. If the front were raked out a little further, it could damn near pose as a chopper though.

I've heard the term UJM thrown around, I presume it stands for Unified Japanese Motors or something like that, but I never really knew what it meant.

I crave acceleration too, we have that in common.

My uncle is a staunch Honda motorcyle guy. Looking at him, he's easy to take for a Harley guy (big, strapping fella), but he refuses to purchase an H-D after they moved their operations to Japan some years ago (late 70's?). Anyway, he's the proud owner of an '04 Goldwing, a Valkyrie, a Shadow 1100, a CBR1100XX and a dirt bike of some kind.

Ummmm...he had the front wheel in the air until about 140 mph or or so! That's fvcking crazy!!! My wife would kill me if she caught me even thinking about doing that.

Oh I love Honda, they have my upmost respect as Honda is the guy who started it all with the Jap. bikes and all. Honda just has nothing I have really wanted ...too bad they dropped their Blackbird.

Well whatever you do stick with your Japanese bikes, forget Harely. If you want a dependable, high performance machine then Honda, Kawasaki , Suzuki or Yamaha should make something to suit your needs.

This is an awesome looking bike, just not worthy of nearly $28k in my opinion. To be honest, I'm leaning toward a Honda also vs. the V-Rod, but we'll see when the time comes I guess.

I've wanted to break my Gixxer out for a while now, but it won't start at the moment. Gotta buy a new battery when I have the chance. Ever since I (finally) got a car at the end of January and gave up riding full-time, I haven't had a chance to take it out (too much cold and rain). I miss it.

This thread really isn't helping me at all!

I've been wanting to get another bike for so long now, I just need to pay off existing debt before I can even allow myself to think about it.

:( I miss riding.

Supposed to be coming back in a year or two, and might even have a V-5 engine to boot!

Just washed mine and my pop's ZX-11 today. I will get pics of them as soon as I get all my plastic fixed and back on.

This summer I'll be fixing up a Honda CB500T. When I get my degree, I'll be getting the V-Strom 1000 :D

I told my mom I wanted a bike and I got the whole safety speech. I told my dad and he mentioned safety and then asked me what size I was thinking about. I don't know if it will happen but it would be cool to get a 600 something.
