of course, you cannot 'wait' when enemies are nearby.

i would'nt mess with the AI . .. if you install that Mod you canNOT save ANY games while using it . . . it is just for 'fun'

Excellent info, thanks! I had no idea about the 48 minute thing. I'm sure I will eventually, but I've not exactly scoured the net for any info/ideas for the game.

Sure, I found the cheat pages showing what commands to type at the console to get money and weapons, but what fun is cheating? For me, that takes all the fun and sense of accomplishment out of the game.

I'll be playing a lot this weekend. GF will be out of town...nothing else to do but level up I guess!

Unlike other D&D based games going out just to level is the best thing to do. In Oblivion is is better to use a lot of different skills and level slowly. The bonuses you get for leveling is based on what skills you use and how many different skill you used for each attribute. +5 attribute bonus is good, +2 bad.

for me the leveling system was too much grinding. technically killing monsters is too, but at least in killing monsters, there is an appreciable and tangible gain through the leveling process. i didn't get that impression w/ oblivion's system. i ended up making a custom class whose major skills were ones i never used, that way i couldnt over level and always got +5's to all stats. the leveling system makes sense in your head, but in practice, it totally destroyed the RPG aspect for me.
