I would like for someone to tell me where to buy these clothes that fit all fat people perfectly, because I've been looking for years and I can't find them.

Well, not fat, but the pudgy beer bellied type is what most clothes are geared to.

I bought a polo shirt in France that fits me well (big enough to accomodate my shoulders and tapered in the waist).

I'm 5'8" 150 lbs and it's an XL!

Guess the average Frenchman is a weenie.

bah, that's too funny :) If that shirt is XL I'd hate to see what a 250lb frenchman buys XXXXXXL^10.

I'm tall and slender, sweatpants are perfectly fine for exercising and casual errands.

Nope, sorry that just simply won't do. You need to wear a short skirt, heels, and a sexy blouse every you go (oh, and stockings wouldn't hurt either). Am I gonna have to teach you how to dress? ;)

When somebody wants to step forward and pony up the bucks to dress me in a designer wardrobe then I'll follow their tastes in my clothing:p

if it fits my chest and shoulders it will be like a TENT at the waist/hips. My arms will typically be too long for all but the most carnival-tent-like "sacks". In flats I wear a 32" inseam and many pants have HUGE "hip pouches" and come down only to my ankles. The only thing I can do is look for really expensive "runway" clothes, as these tend to be cut in a longer, more tapered style. They are also $$$$$$$$$$

Shirts are the worst. Suits come in "Athletic" cut, which still isn't perfect. Aside from work, I wear nothing but sweats and shorts. I've just learned to belt the pants and tuck in the shirts.

I forgot to add that most shirts are too short for me, unless they are way too large :( I NEED A TAILOR!!!

What, now I have to pay for your clothes too? I would think that the FREE fashion advice would be ample payment towards achieving your new look. Just think of all the time you'd save by not having to wander aimlessly through the mall looking for a good outfit. All you have to do is say, "Cougar what do you think I should wear that will help me achieve the correct level of hotness?" It's as simple as that.

On an entirely different note, I was driving through town yesterday and I swear I saw the longest legs in the universe. I looked out the passenger window and I kid you not that all I saw was a short grey skirt with grey tights and boots walking past me. I basically had to duck down so I could see how tall this woman was. Sweet merciful heaven....such long legs it was almost scary (I may now be traumatized but the results aren't in yet).

I realize that doesn't really have anything to do with the topic of this thread, but I figured I'd just throw that in there as another one of Cougar's wild tangents.

Discuss :)

Finding jeans and trousers suck if you have big legs and a small waist :(

You have buy bigger waists so you fit in properly.......

Tops and shirts are fine. I find some of the shirt cuffs too tight though.....

That's the one redeeming feature of the fat clothes selling in the US: Easy fit jeans and pants. I can get the right waist size and get fuller legs and seat.

Um, huh? I wear sweat pants to the gym and back in winter, and while running if it's below 45 degrees outside or windy and below 55.

WTF am I supposed to wear to the gym? Dress slacks?

I'm not talking about if you wear them to the gym (although I think the slicky pants are a lot cooler than good ol' sweat pants), or if you are wearing them while running. I just talking about people actually wearing them in public and/or to class (in college).

You talking sweatpants, or the "slicky" pants for casual errands? As for exercise, anything goes (except those short running shorts on guys in the gym....eeewwww).

Slick pants are COLD against your skin. I'll take cotton or fleece any day. And I don't wear them IN the gym, just to the gym. They come off as soon as I get to the locker room and back on when I leave. The only time I wear them while exercising is outside in the cold when running.

Well, at least I'm not the only one with this problem. Since losing 45-50 pounds a couple years ago, it's now rather difficult to find shirts that don't make me feel like I'm wearing a portable tent. And I don't even think I'm particularly thin... 5'-11" @ 145 lbs. 'Small' mens shirts are sorta okay, but usually feel a bit too big around the waist. The 'extra-small' size is just about perfect, but is almost impossible to find anywhere other than American Eagle. The only other possibility is to wander into the boy's section, which usually has poor selection (mostly t-shirts) and which doesn't work for long-sleeved shirts (sleeves not long enough).

Conversely... it's very easy to find jeans in sizes almost small enough to fit a popsicle stick. It just doesn't make sense.

Been bustin zippers since I was 4 :D.

Where levis Riprorin, there made for guys who have a awkward looking figure like yours. You should really look into wear FUBO, Southpole, Sean Jean, Enyce, Ecko and Guess though being that those kind of cloths are geard twards the younger crowed, hence a tighter cut.

sweats are meant to be a little bit baggy...

Do you know what you're talking about? FUBU, Southpole, Sean John - almost all of their clothes are geared towards the hip-hop culture. They're big and baggy, and I've never seen any sizes smaller than L with them. They do not have a tighter cut, they're BAGGY

in shape no...I'd say most 'designer' type clothes would be good fits....most athletic cuts are tapered too...

I run into problems when I am working out in the 'off the rack' shirt of the typical S/M/L/XL size has a neck too tight and sleeves too short for me.

also the fitted sleeved 3 button polo style constrict my arms occasionally but nothing just stretching the sleeve a bit can't fix.

most of the suggestions here are for sources to find regular hangin' out or hip-hop clothes....what if you need to find athletic cuts of clothing for a dress-casual work setting?

All shirts that I find fit me in the shoulders but are way too big in the waist. It looks like I'm wearing a freakin' balloon.
