I'm Christian but the whole "don't eat meat on good friday" is dumb. Nowhere is that a requirement in the Bible.

So you're not a Roman Catholic but you have an addicition to Catholicism? Kind of odd.

You're one of the many folks raised catholic and have converted to the "I think there might be a god that created all this stuff at some point but I don't really care enough to adjust my diet because eating rocks and I like meat" church.
Welcome brother. I chose to do the lent diet thing this last day, Mussels and beer FTW. Go Jesus!

Screw you Jesus... I'm stuck at work today and you have a Mexican name!
What's with people getting good friday off anyway? It's not a holiday... it's a holy day of obligation. NOT the same thing!

Today is not a Holy Day of Obligation, these are the Holy Days of Obligation, I work as a youth minister, so I am glad to have today off and not have to be in church (but I am going to Stations of the Cross later anyway):
* 1 January: Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God
* 6 January: the Epiphany
* 19 March: Solemnity of St. Joseph, Husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary
* Thursday of the sixth week of Easter: the Ascension
* Thursday after Trinity Sunday: the Body and Blood of Christ
* 29 June: Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, Apostles
* 15 August: the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
* 1 November: All Saints
* 8 December: the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary
* 25 December: the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ (Christmas)

Do people actually believe that you would go to hell if you eat meat on Good Friday? If you could go back in time and have a conversation with Jesus about the subject, what do you think he'd have to say about it?
Personally, I think he'd be absolutely horrified at what the Catholic Church has become.

This but add all the other "christian" churches/denominations under that heading.
