what are you using to monitor temps?

look at the temps in the bios, then use MBM5 to see if it gives you the same results

Normal questions...

1. What is the fan on the heatsink?
2. Is it seated properly with all goop.
3. Is it dusty?
4. How is the airflow.

yup i was going to say grab the hsf thats the best way to tell and man you got some heat and i also noticed that all of your fans are reading 0 rpm in bios this is bad they either are broken or not plugged in.
also check your vcore make sure it not set too high good luck

Do you have any pics of MBM5? The CPU is always at 100% in the BIOS, so the reading may differ somewhat.

They are all fine, none of them are plugged into the mobo... All are running via molex...

Is this ambient or load temps? I'm assuming load.

Note this - you have a "CPU" and a "Socket" temp. That means you're reading from both the diode and the under-chip sensor. Most people take the latter as their "CPU temp" - but IMO, 60C is still a little toasty. Your HSF being hot is good - that means the CPU-HSF connection is sweet. I'd recommend trying a slightly faster fan - ~28CFM doesn't seem to be enough in this case.

Either way, your "Case to CPU" difference is pretty high - 18 degrees. Mine's only 6C under load (36 case, 42 socket). Swap out for a faster fan and see if that helps.

Edit - Okay, reading the "side panel open" bit, it seems to just be airflow over your CPU - either that or your case airflow just really sucks. Drop a faster fan on the ah heck. ;)

How is the 80x25mm Variable Speed YS-Tech 3-pin Case Fan 10.2~48.5CFM?

Hmmm.... Ok well i think i've narrowed it down to two possible fans (feel free to add to my list):

1. Panaflo H1A (40cfm, 32db)
2. YS-Tech Variable (10-48cfm, up to 40db)

They're fine.
And M4H has you on the right track. Also, check for cable clutter, as that can be nasty if in the wrong spot.

They arent that great. All of his rails are way too far off for me.

12v = 11.73, not in my system. Your 5v is very near the edge for me, but your 3.3 is pretty good.

The 12v should be fine down to at least 11.5v. According to most manufacturers, a 10% spread is fine--as in, 10.8v. Anywhere from 11.5-12.5 is perfectly normal and safe.

<slightly unrelated errata follows>
Odd, the vBat is only 1.47V? I thought that the vBat was that of the BIOS battery? If so, shouldn't that be closer to 3 volts?
</>

Other than that, your CPU is running within spec. But your case is running warmer than I'd expect; mine is currently 28C, only 4 degrees above room temp; CPU's doing 44C. But then, this is no silent PC, nor did I design it to be. Try to balance out the intake and output, so that you've got good airflow through the system - my own method for determining airflow is to find a dead area, such as exists in the empty space above my optical drives. I just pop out the faceplate there, lick my finger, and hold it in front - whichever side gets colder is the side getting hit with more air. I can never remember though which is better - positive or negative pressure. I'd think it'd be good to have a little air flowing out of the case - this way, you can help keep dust in check, assuming you're already filtering your intake.

Thanks for all the help guys, i really appreciate it....

Well, ive decided that instead of spending too much money getting this system temps down alot, id rather use some money to upgrade and pick up that Athlon 64 3200+ and Asus mobo for $179 and get a nice new heatsink/fan for that sucker.

So for the time being, i think i've decided to do the following to get the temps down;

1. Replace the NMB Silent Intake/Exhaust Fans as they dont seem to push very much air at all. Im thinking i will probably go with Panaflo mediums for all 3.
2. Replace the HS Fan with a Panaflo High to keep the temps at bay.
3. I just ordered a VGA Silencer 3 last night for my Radeon 9700 that runs hot as well, should be here on thursday or so.

Using the vornado tabletop fan my system temps are now down to;

CPU Diode - 50C
CPU Socket - 38C
Case - 29C

Much more reasonable, but unfortunately the desktop fan sounds like a small tornado.

Where do you guys reccomend i pick up the Panaflo's? SVC? Newegg? BG Micro? I would like to purchase all 4 from the same vendor to save on shipping...

Also, as stated above, which temp do most people refer to when talking about how how their CPU is? The Diode or Socket?

Not for serious overclockers. Rails that dip that much can be very troublesome.

If that much matters, I wouldn't trust the BIOS. Multimeter > *.
11.73 isn't even 2.5% off, anyway.
