It's getting hot, do you spend more on water or gas?

Unleaded gas is about $1.50/gal in my area, but gourmet bottled water may cost more than $6/gal.
Do you belong to fabulous type that would pay more for water than gasoline?

The only time I buy bottled water is when it's convenient, like when stopping for gas during a road trip, or when I'm out and about when thirsty. And when I do buy it, I buy the cheapie bottles, like $.79 for a 32oz bottle.

I would never consider it for normal drinking water at my home. A $35 Brita PUR filter does that job just fine.

I just buy the "gourmet" water for the bottles and then refill them from my brita faucet filter.
Gas here is in the mid $1.40's and climbing. Glad I own a car that gets good gas mileage.

gotta love my PUR water filter! and we have on in the fridge too now that we moved into a new house. if i'm out, like already stated i buy the .79 for 32oz bottle. water is generally pretty cheap in bottles down here in AZ. gourmet bottled water is a scam.

$3 Evian, my ass! I'm not paying that. I buy a 1 gallon jug of the local brand for $.89 - $1.39 and swig away.

At home, I have a Britta 2.5 gallon filter unit that I use mostly in the summer, when the water is too warm straight out of the tap.

we have like vending machines here, you buy the gallon container, and then you can fill up forever for usually .25 or .50 depending on where you are, per gallon! 😀

Bottled water is for suckers. Some of it isn't even spring water. Dasani (coca-cola product) is actually tapwater that has everything other than H's and O's taken out of it via reverse-osmosis and then they add back trace amounts of certain minerals to give it that "spring water" taste.

My tap water is just fine, and I'll use the Brita filter water for making coffee (tastes better to me FWIW).

dasani adds sodium too. look at the bottle it says "negligable" (sp?) amound of sodium added. i think it is enough to make you more thirsty after you drink it....i refuse to buy dasani.

The funniest product I've ever seen was a form of bottled water. I was at Walgreens looking at moisturizers. There was this small pink Evian bottle for $10. I picked it up and it says something like "naturally refreshing and moisturizing." So I looked at the ingredients: water was the only thing listed. That is $10 for a few ounces of water. I forget the exact size but it was close to 8 ounces. So you need $160 to buy one gallon of this Evian water. I don't know about you, but washing my hands and face with water makes my skin feel dry - not moisturized. So it is $160 for one gallon of water that does the opposite of what the label claims.

I drink tap water. Water is water. So i spend Much more on gas (its around $1.60 per gallon of Regular unleaded around here

according to tests bottled water is no better then what you can get from your home filter anyways..🙂 so why pay a pile😛

Well that's certainly not true. But I use the Brita pitcher and fill up bottles of my own to go.
