It's getting cold, time for some Hot Cider

I have a hankering for some nice boozey hot cider. I will probably purchase the cider as making it is probably too complicated. What are some good recipes / liquors to add to the cider? What about the ratio?

If you have a homemade cider recipe, lay it on me as well.

Yeah, I'm a big wuss when it comes to weather. Oh well, I'm just going to get a gallon of cider, some dark rum, put it in the crockpot and drink it down.

I've heard rum, bourban, whiskey.. I think some meyers or something along those lines should mix in nicely.

Meyers is my favorite rum. I have a half bottle at home at the moment.

whiskey and rum are both good with cider...

here's a drink my friend just recommended:

2pt: vodka
2pt: cinnamon schnapps
5pt: apple cider
splash of lemon juice
