Aye, its friday night and I got a week's worth of Torrent DLs to screen. Had my dose of social contact for the month at the squadron picnic.

Tomorrow, I think I'm going to tackle the EQ1 trial. :)

Not without weeks of preparation at least. I'm in the same boat. We did at least go out as a family (-1). We ate steaks at Longbranch, window shopped at Best Buy, and bought Halloween costumes for the younger 2 kids.

Now I get to play Sims 2 for an hour before bed. :)

What is wrong with tonight?

I've got someone else's work to do. It'd normally be fine, but everyone here is a moron. Not really, but damn close to it.

THEY MAKE UPSES FOR A REASON.

I'm sorry to hear that.

Need a hand? If not, I'm just going to be coding some perl for the night

Yes. :p

I'm the only one in my position working here tonight. Sometimes I get a buddy, sometimes not. My babysitter sits about 10' from me.

Have a US government security clearance? ;)

I don't _have_ to do this stuff. They asked me to look at it (it's what I get for not kicking my boss's ass for talking up my "solaris skills"), and of course Solaris is friggin' useless. I wonder if they understand the concept of error messages/codes instead of just RETURNING NOTHING. :| Stupid ndd.

Ahhhh...your boss bragging about your skills? :) Well...Solaris is still a very powerful OS you know!

It's not hard. They ask about stays in mental institutions and your financial situation, and ignore you as long as you tell the truth. :p

Solaris is fine for some things, but I would never use it on a routing machine. And I would definitely keep it on a UPS, I don't trust their journalling (and I don't even know if anyone enabled that). So now I have a router that won't route, using a version of an OS I've never played with, on a machine in a room I have to go through _more_ biometrics to get to, with no error codes to help me out. :(
