Its "F"ing hot here in SoCAL, who here drives without Air Conditioning?

The A/C in my pickup truck is being fixed, so I drove around with out A/C today. Man it is fvcking hot. Who else is suffering? (that lives in an extremely hot city/town)

I live in Bakersfield, and both my cars have AC (for the wife). I spend most of the summer riding my bike(s) (Ninja 500R and SV650S), so no AC most of the time.

WhereTF is Clovis? Never heard of that city.

Not too hot here in the San Gabriel Valley ... only about 80F

This is not hot. September will be hot (to us).

I drive without AC. Because I like thinking that my car is a racecar.

It's only 73 in LA though, I'm sure it'll get hotter.

I never did like summer. 🙁

You want to talk about hot? Try this:
Last week, while I was driving back from Palm Springs my A/C stopped working all of a sudden. It was 115 degrees outside, plus the car had sat under the sun for 3 hours. I honestly believe I would have dehydrated if I didn't stop for water along the way.

Stevenson Ranch?

Is that near Santa Clarita?

I have never really been fond of So Cal summers.

Scratch that.

I have never really been fond of So Cal summers whenever I'm far from a swimming pool.

But ... even though a lot of the houses in my city have pools, mine doesn't. Got a lot of friends with pools, though 🙂

I was in Palm Springs last weekend and saw people driving around with their windows down...it was 104 degrees there on Friday. I had the A/C blasting in my car.

i was driving around without ac for a few weeks...just got my other car going again after it sat for a year...the sensor that sends the signal to the relay to turn the compressor on was borked...or so i thought...it just fixed itself a few days ago...w00t for me 😀

you may have. water is your friend. so many visitors come here and do a lot of hiking in the valley and they don't realize how much you sweat, every year people die from it.

i live in phx, az so heat is one thing we know. it is really sad to see how many parents leave their kids in a f*cking carseat and forget about them in may/june/july when they come home from running errands and leave the little ones in the car, out in the direct sun, with windows up. it can easily hit over 150F in a car sitting in the sun so the little ones die a horrible death.

"the little ones"

What are you, a 65 year old woman? 😛

I just looked at the map. It's like 75 by the coast

Don't know if a lot of people here are familiar with So Cal (particularly LA county), but I used to live in Diamond Bar and temps would easily surpass 100, 105F.

Moved to San Marino, next to Pasadena, back in 2001, and the first summer I was here, the temps barely passed 85, 90F.

So living closer to the coast really does make a difference.

Tucson AZ will be consistantly above 100 for months to come. Thankfully my AC works. Big electric bills for the house coming up.

i know that feeling, i have 3 windows units in here...my electric bill with all the computers and stereo equipment and such runs 150 a month 🙁

And the computers generate even more heat =/
