Maybe they're with the X700XTs? 😉

And the 6800 Ultra Extreme?

6800UE was never an official product. The X700XT was an official product, but was cancelled in favor of keeping the X700Pro and introducing the higher performing X800 X800GT X800GT etc...

Errr, no, several 6800UEs were sold, there were even a couple brands. (e.g. EVGA, Gainward CoolFX, etc.)

I bid $750 on a Gainward CoolFX only to be told "$850!" by the vendor. 🙁

This is what i heard anyway. I dont think it is gone forever.

I heard the same thing here.

If the RV560 is 256 bit, it would be the first mainstream card to be so. That would give a nice performance boost.

"Where?" is not the question of the X1600 series... its "Why?" in gods name would you want to buy one...

ATI prob thought better of it before going full swing pumping X1600s into the market like was mentioned. A 256bit bus card using cheapo memory(900-1000mhz) based on the X1600 would be bullseye for ATI.. but I guess that was too simple and they had to pull a NV30 with the 128bit bus and fast memory.

You can get the X1600Pro for around £115 which an't bad. I would expect the
X1600XT to cost around £150 the same price as 6600GT.
