its crazy the tvguide website makes my CPU run at 60C

and it only hits like 55C when encoding a divx... jesus what on that site is THAT CPU intensive? lol

It's all the flash on the website. Flash is super cpu intensive. Visit some of those overdone/overloaded/tacky myspace pages filled with a bunch of animated photo albums, video, and audio players and see how much your cpu lights up there

I was about to ask how your CPU is hitting 60C, as I don't think even quad cores should be doing that with a proper heatsink, but then I saw the Pentium D in your sig.

yeah it will hit ~55-57C running prime all night long...

but 5 mins of sitting on the tv guide website and it hits 60C, it's nuts...

close the IE window and it drops back down to 40C idle...

Yup some sites seriously overdo it with the flash. If you're using Firefox try the FlashBlock plugin, it's the bee's knees.
