It's cold out there...

Was snowing a bit here a while ago, but it stopped. The ground is still warm though as it's melting right away.

Looking forward to permanent snow. It means the rain will stop!

I keep forgetting there are seasons out there other than hot, holy fuck it's hot, and Aaaghhhh burst into flames.

It was a truly beautiful day today in Atlanta--weather wise. Otherwise Atlanta sucked again traffic wise.

It was perfect fall weather today. 72 F, sunny, and low humidity. I had the day off so I took the top off the Corvette and took the wife on a lunch date. Couldn't ask for better weather. Tomorrow is supposed to be the same. Low 55 F in the morning and sunny high 73 F in the afternoon. Love this time of the year!

best part is she will not expect anything from you.

Fantastic day! High of 63, and I had a nice quiet construction job in the woods. On the way to job, I traveled through a part of the county I wasn't familiar with. Nice small dirt roads, and I saw an 18th or 19th century log house(maybe a mill) along the creek. Got to the job to layout clearing limits, and the briers weren't too bad. Finished up laying out anchor bolts on an abutment. I was only me out there. I spent the day by a couple creeks under the shady trees in the country, and didn't sweat a drop. The loudest noise aside from the creeks was a red tail hawk flying overhead.

And here I live in an area where you can't forget there are seasons, because you can sometimes experience all the seasons in a single week.

Yeah, finally the weather is cool and the humidity has dropped. Now we get to hear everyone bitching about how cold it is for the next five months.

I spent the day at Funspot and was amazed at how nice it was when I walked outside to my car. I was thinking about going hiking at Mt. Monadnock this weekend but I'm not sure yet. It would probably be Sunday if I decide to go.

I'm cutting wood this weekend. Gonna save the hiking till more leaves have fallen. There's a park I want to check out, and look for artifacts. One side of the road is overrun with mountain bikers, but the other side is less traveled. I'm gonna hit the less traveled side.

Btw, mountain bikers should just fuck off. They're eroding the shit out of the ground, and it's going into a fairly major river. If they were a construction company, they'd be shut down and fined.

it's been chilly here all day and it will continue for a few more days. It's also raining here.

Cold and damp weather makes my arthritis hurt like hell.

Pretty warm here today too, at least 10 degrees. In fact for the first time in like a month, it's not raining. We did get snow a few times but it was still warm so it would just melt right away.

Seems our falls are warm now, back when I was a kid, all the rain we've been getting would have been our first snow fall and we'd have at least a couple cm on the ground right now.

Snow!

It's wet snow though, so it's not really that cold and it's probably going to melt. Went to check the solar panels on the shed and it actually melted on it's own and slid off, which is good to know. I don't think that will be the case when we get real snow though. This is just flurries.
