in my head i think of it as (2 * C) + 30 = F in order to do it quickly

so:

0 C ≈ 30 F
5 C ≈ 40 F
10 C ≈ 50 F
15 C ≈ 60 F
20 C ≈ 70 F
25 C ≈ 80 F
30 C ≈ 90 F
35 C ≈ 100 F
40 C ≈ 110 F

at that point it starts to break down because 40C is really only 104F
