Closed on my studio last week... I am now the owner of a condo in Manhattan! No more 1.5 hour commutes, work is now a 10 minute walk away.

View from my window. IT was cloudy this past weekend, but on a nice day, it should be a great view.

Whoa, 450K for a condo in midtown? Is it 1 bedroom or studio? Not too shabby. That price sounds like a co-op price.

Nice, congrats, hope you don't get crazy neighbors like my last place 😀

That's pretty good for Manhattan, no?

its a small studio, only 450 sq ft. the $1k per sq ft is about average in manhattan. i do think i got a steal though, considering my view, and that i'm on Park Ave.

Holy fvck!
How the hell can anyone afford to live in NYC?

uhh thats nothing......a average joe schmo trader on wall street can easily pull close to 7 digits a year and there are many schmo traders.

its cheaper if you move to the other boroughs. or if you go with housing up near harlem. of course the numbers will vary according to the amenities, but to rent in manhattan, its generally $4/sq ft.
