Newegg and Tiger Direct carry the deal.

http://www.evga.com/articles/public.asp?AID=258

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130238

I bought this combo ~1 month ago and everything seemed to work really well. UNTIL I loaded Doom3, Far Cry and BFV...then I realized the 7800GT was artifacting like crazy. I'm pretty sure EVGA straightened out the problems with their cards by now so there shouldn't be too many issues. The mobo seemed to work just fine.

You really can't beat the deal. You essentially get a 7800GT for ~$250 to $279 (depending on the rebates, etc.) and an sli mobo for ~$100. Everythings retail so you get all the goodies too.

I'll be pretty happy PROVIDED my RMA'd video card works out. It's on its way to me now via UPS and should arrive on 11-1-05.

I've very tempted to buy another combo...too bad my CC balance is already a might too high (i.e., I pay off the balance every month) so I'll have to wait until next month before I buy any more PC components;)

I didn't push the overclock much because my pc's in a warm room of the house...see profile. Plus I'm very new at overclocking A64 based systems.

I don't think you get BOTH the free mobo and free CoD 2 (i.e., when I hit the Newegg link, it shows the free copy of Cod2, but it doesn't show the free mobo)...I could be incorrect though. Also, the deal gets kinda complicated with the different "part numbers" (i.e., some parts qualify for the various rebates, while others do not).

Any expert "deal coordinators" feel like working this deal through ALL it's paces;)

You get the free motherboard from Newegg.

COD2 and the additional $25.00 cash/ $25.00 EVGA bucks rebates is through EVGA.

That would be really sweet!

The EVGA mobo overclocks quite ok. I am using it with a Venice e3 3000 at 300mhz fsb. I hear it does not go above 315 FSB. Mine wouldnt post above 300. The bigget problem with the mobo are as followed:

People have problem running memory at 1T over 250Mhz FSB
The bios does not show correct temp for many cpus - evga is working on this but no bios fix yet.

My e3 venice temps look ok, but my 3200 e6 venice temps were shown too high 45 idle and 56 in full load.

As a free mobo its great. No stability issues so if are looking for a decent freebie go for it.

already dead again on newegg.

still at tiger direct, ugh, no thanks they don't deserve my business, shadey bassterds.

also this is more money then the last time.

it was $399.00 -40.00 rebate with free Fedex 2-3 shipping always 2 days for me.

this time it is $399.00 -$25.00 rebate noly if you can card pool with a friend or it is your second card, also -$25.00 EVGA buck, these are worthless.

I had $50.00 EVGA bucks form the 6800ultra/LE fiasco and everything no ther site is way too exspensive, and shipping is high too

also there is a lot more to the problems with this motherboard.

here is my best apraisal of the stiution form my own experience and research.

if you are useing 256mb ram modules, then the sky is the limit, and there are really no major problems, 1T works all the way up to 300MHZ FSB , evne if you have 4 x 256mb you are good to go, for great overclocking.

if you have 512mb modules, then 250MHZ FSB with 1T is your max about.

if you have 1gb modules, your screwed, no 1T aven at stock pc3200 speed, 185 is about the best i have seen confirmed.

you can run 2T up to about 250mhz FSB max if your lucky, i could only do 240 with Gskill PC4000 at stock timings cas3,4,4,8,2T

I got in on this the last time it was offered and could not be happier. BTW I have 2x1gb OCZ Platinum 2-3-2-5 and it runs 1T fine at stock speed. I do have the temp reading issue so I'm only OCing to 2300 MHz on my 3800+ X2 but it is rock stable and doing 1T at about 193 MHz (using a memory divider). That said, a lot of people have had issues with 1T and 1Gb modules but I suspect they are the minority (although a vocal minority ;-) ) rather than the norm. YMMV.

Odd. I had placed the combo in my shopping cart last night and it is still there, even after putting in the $20 evga coupon.

Is this still working? I'm looking at the sites...
If so I might jump on this.

edit:
I'm confused. On newegg it says evga has a $50 rebate and the $20 coupon stacks as well?
So you get CoD2, this mobo and the geforce for $330????

DaGeek-
In Newegg, you add the mobo and the vid card.
You get the $50 rebate and CoD2 directly from EVGA.
