Im not much of a geek but know my shiznit when it comes to certain aspects of electronics and stuff so since i go to Drexel, i figured why not try my Luck in the Philly Zoo parking lot. It payed off, got one and was able to sell it for a nice $300 towards my kick as HT setup. I did feel kind of wierd there though as some of the kids drove from all over to come. Hell, a good friend of mine drove from HARTFORD CT. WHATS UP WITH THAT. Other people i saw were like 45 years olds and families with thier little newborns and 1/2 years olds in 30 degree weather at 4:30 am. Im not trying to put people down but some people need to get lives and a little puntang on the said rather than bringing thier kids and even laptops with shiza written on them like " INTEL SUX" THATS right, i saw our ass with that laptop.

PS. Since im back at school, ill probably go, but thier will be thousands there this time right?

PHILLY ROCKS BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dammit, 3 people for Detroit already. How about you all save me a spot in line since I'll hopefully be driving down from Ann Arbor?

Dukat, see you there. ;)

Can you still register and possibly win something by mail, eventhough you may be unable to attend?

I wonder how this will compare to the AMD Tech Tour I went to last year.. This sounds alot more home/gamer orientated to me.. I really loved the tech tour even though I didn't win anything. We got a nice dinner and a big rundown on everything from processor roadmaps to how to correctly install a CPU and heatsink.

I missed out on the philly zoo one thanks too the lack of parking spots, and they quit handing tickets a couple of minutes before we made it there.:| I was very suprised at how many people showed up that early in the morning. Must get there very eary next time and pray I don't leave empty handed.

Im in for Orlando .
One thing I read on the site said enjoy the evening .... makes me think this is gonna be in the afternoon . I dunno . Im thinking they will email ELIGIBLE (see register for event) people and give them the time . Id rather they do that than show up and have to fight my way through 10,000 UCF students who found out about the event the night before and are now pissed that nobody will allow them to enter ............. Plus Im sure the building they will have is the normal one they hold PC shows in and it won't hold 9,000 people :)

How to enter: Attend selected AMD Reality Check Events October 29, 2002 through December 10, 2002, complete the official entry form, and place it in the entry box provided. Entries for prizes are valid for one Event only and do not carry over into subsequent Event drawings. Limit one entry per person, per Event. Entries must be original and handwritten; photocopies will not be accepted. Entries void if mechanically reproduced, forged, defective, altered or obtained through unauthorized channels. Sponsor not responsible for lost, late, stolen, mutilated, damaged, illegible or incomplete entries. Entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned.

Now Im thinking they will MAIL the entires to people with all the needed information ........... If so this would stop people who last year had 10 or more raffle tickets :p

I don't think I understand.....

So, AMD shows up with a bunch of contests/events, and if I win one of them I get a CPU? How long does it run (per day), and how long must I be there to be eligible for prizes? I've got some time constraints to work around (job, ya know).

Why did people show up at 4AM? If it's random drawing, then it seems like you may as well wait until a more reasonable hour?

Someone please explain, thanks
