do they just "give away" processors or are there drawings or something? That'd be sweet if they gave them away the way MS gives away windows at MS dev conferences :)

Last year it worked that way. People were outside in the cold at like 4 in the morning. This year, it looks like it will be indoors.

Throughout each Event, AMD Event Managers (Judges) will select thirty-five (35) potential Prize Winners in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received during that Event prior to the drawing.

w00t--Might be worth the trip to Raleigh/Atlanta. My, they sure have chosen some interesting venues...looks like a list of nightclubs!! Can't wait to see all these uber-geeks lined up at a nightclub waiting for free cpus!!! They should send Triumph the insult dog!

Since when is Washington, DC in Northern Virginia? And which Einstein picked the DC site to be a nightclub that's been made off-limits to members of the military because it was too easy for them to get recreational drugs there?

it also says that at last year's first event in SF, 350 hopefuls showed up and 200 left with a processor

They'll cancel this one. Even if they don't, the DC police will probably issue a ban on gatherings until the sniper's been caught. So we'll both have to settle for the online chance.

Think twice people...
I was at the Seattle one, 2000 people ended up showing up.
Somehow we cut in line and just in time to get the raffles.
3 tickets, one winner.
It was uncool standing there in freezing cold weather from 5am to 8am......

I was at the event in Orlando, nearly froze my A** off. Great Fun hanging and Talking with other Uber Geeks. I didn't win a cpu but did make off with an AMD pen and an AMD T-Shirt. Had a good time and will try to attend this one too. Glad its not so cold and it IS indoors! Thanks for the info!!!

Btw... Did anyone find out about the times? Searched all over and did not see a mention of what time of the day... Maybe all day?

Anyway, I registered, hopefully they will E-Mail me the needed info...

All you got to do is get up at 5am so you can be there by around 6am and get a raffle ticket.

Curious, was the range of types of people at these events diverse? It says you need to be 18 to enter, just curious if i would be the youngest there :\
