got a 2400+ in vegas, I got there early and they did a drawing for 10 processors when there were only 30 people there. got a bag, shirt, hat, mints. Man it was awsome! a friend of mine that was with me got the same right when we got there, and they called my name a second time but I could only win one processor. First time I ever won anything in my life. wheeeeeeeeeeee

Damn you people. I had a midterm to take and couldn't get to the event till like 9:45. All I got was a crummy T-shirt. Oh well. Outside of Comdex, I don't think I've ever been surrounded by so many geeks in my entire life. And that's not necessarily a good thing. If it weren't for that one cute asian girl working there, I think I would have died from the geekdom. Well, at least the food wasn't all that horrible.

I might come, too....although I'm not sure even a free Athlon is good enough bait to drag myself to the god-forsaken hellhole known as the Electric Factory *shudder*

Got a question for everyone planning on attending the event in Raleigh, NC. I'm on the AMD Partner list and first heard about this via email.

Well, the roomie and I are planning our attack on the event when we notice that Raleigh has TWO addresses. All of my AMD Partner emails tell me the event will be held at :
RALEIGH Thursday, Nov. 7 The Longbranch Entertainment Complex 600 Creekside Dr., Raleigh, NC
however, the link that this thread provides says:
RALEIGH 11/7 The Warehouse 8:30pm to 11:00pm 427 S. Dawson St., Raleigh NC 27601

Now, for those of you who don't know, those two locations are seperated by about 10-15 minutes of driving. So does anyone have a clue on the actual location? I'm leaning towards my AMD Partner emails at present, but I suppose if I get there and no one is there, I'll high-tail it over to the Warehouse.

Anyone with any information, please respond.

The 7PM event at the Longbranch is the VIP event for AMD Partners. The 8PM event @ the Warehouse is open for all.

OK, I signed up for Detroit. They changed the site from the armory. Looks like they found a site comparable to that location in Washington D.C. people are worried about. Sheesh.

Whoever is going to the Houston Event, you want to meet up before to screw around if they dont let us into the VIP? Im prepared to bribe the door dude, Im fairly highly interested in scoring a summer internship with one of these guys. Sigh...I cannot wait, But I have printed out all the manuals and factbooks and pour over them daily!

The only benchmark they ran in Vegas was MadOnion PCMark 2002.

Antec SX630II, or a clone thereof...and yes, you have to plug in the power switch and idiot lights correctly. Look up the front-panel connections for the MSI K7N420 Pro, print it out, and bring it in...I don't know if that information was provided to the participants.
