The majority of the Arab world cares not too much for Iran. Iran is pissing off everybody these days...including the rest of the crazy Arabs. I see Iran's neighbors taking care of their own problem. The world is on fire right now; the fire will either go out and we'll have 50 years of peace (Africa will continue to self destruct with no consequence to the rest of the world) or we will have WWIII. Nothing inbetween, sadly.

I would agree with you if Amadinejad was rational. However, he has repeatedly preached that it is Islamic duty to start the apocalypse and that it is better to fail/lose and die than to do nothing.

Ahmadinejad wants to see the comming of the 12th Imam and probably would like some recognition in making it happen. I don't believe this is a one time deal though, there's always next year (not on the 22nd though).
