Elizabeth Renee was born at 3:29 this morning. She was about 4 weeks early because of some risks to Mom so we had to induce before the little bun was done baking.

She's just under 5 pounds (4 pounds, 15.2 ounces to be exact) and is 17 1/4" long.

Little Ellie has the appetite of a horse though so she should catch up in weight very quickly.

Mom, Baby & Dad are all doing well, but in dire need of some rest after a 36 hour sleepless stay in the hospital before, during, and after delivery.

It really is an experience that you can't explain without having done it. Just about any time I think about her or look at the pictures my eyes well up with joy.

Everyone thinks their baby is cute...but this little peanut will melt even the coldest heart.

An hour out of the womb and already hamming it up

Snuggle time with Mom.

The second one really puts her size to scale.

Thank you for the thoughts and support of everyone I've talked to over the last 9 months and beyond.

Signed,
One humbled new Dad.

Congrats and say goodbye to ANY sleep for the next 6 months.

Bah, it's not that bad. My son was sleeping almost the entire night at 3 months and even during the first couple months he would only wake up 3-4 times a night for a quick feeding and he was back to sleep. As long as she's not colicky it's not that big a deal.

Congrats.....nothing like a baby girl for Daddy. Mine ruined me the minute she was born. Best thing you'll ever do, at least until you make another one.

Congrats man!! Our first was a little girl too! Well, all three are girls, but I feel your joy! You are correct about the whole birthing experience, it is difficult to explain unless you've been there before. A great joy it is and i'm happy that mom, baby and dad are doing well! Sleep will come - in about 18 years. Heh, you'll get used to it - I just got my 2 year old out of bed for the third time tonight (teeth)!!!

CONGRATS!!!

Congrats! :cigar;

Yeah, our youngest slept through the night from the first night we were home.

Congrats! Birth of my daughter was the happiest day of my life. Glad mom, you, and the baby are healthy and doing well. That's all you can ask for.
