Well, yes, but... mining's not everything. :p

Got all my rigs running, pretty-much, and it's STILL cold in here.

Are you in one of those buildings where the HVAC system needs to be switched from cold to hot?
Like it is impossible to have heat then cooling?
I worked at a place like that. Big radiator thing on the back of the building.
I haven’t needed heat yet, house has been 70-73 the whole day.
Seems so strange to have nearly a week straight of 90 degrees and humid to 50-something and rain.

Times like these make me consider getting a whole-house dehumidifier. Nothing but rain and low temperatures over the past few days, so the AC doesn't kick on and indoor humidity is bouncing around 53-55%.

Nice and cool today too I'm not complaining.

Looks a bit brighter outside too.... going to my first MLB game with my daughter since pre-pandemic tomorrow night looks like mid-70's. (Mets vs Brewers)

Can't wait! :)

That comes up to 13C. Great weather to do outdoor stuff without being too hot.

It's like 30C here today, sweating just from going outside for a few minutes and then back in.

That sounds like my town, only it's not that rare in summertime. High today is 88F, but less than a week ago it was 50F-ish, and by Wednesday or Thursday it'll be back to around 60F again.

FWIW, it has been a cold year here so far, compared to avg years and spring/early summer.

Warm and cold air fronts can get crazy over the Great Lakes, heh.

56yr old female?
Thought you decided to do a Bruce Jenner.

I need to stop reading the forum while hungover. (yesterday was July 4th)
Columbus Blue Jackets fans live in a happy ignorance when using CBJ.

You know their goalie just died taking a firework to the chest in a jacuzzi.

Well that is one way to go out with a bang...

sorry too soon.

Not nearly as much "fun" but what actually happened was the kid slipped on the wet concrete patio running away from fireworks and cracked his head open. (the lesson here has nothing to do with fireworks ... it's "don't run by the pool"!!)

And normally I would be laughing too but in this case yes... too soon. :(

"Authorities" initially thought it was due to a fall. Autopsy indicated chest trauma as the cause. Stated it was mortar-styled fireworks.

Holy balls!

That must have been a commercial-grade firework....

Most of the stuff that's intended for personal/home use has to REALLY go wrong in order to actually kill you... even something like an M80 or a good sized rocket is extremely unlikely to do so unless you put it in your mouth or something.

OTOH serious and painful damage .... especially to fingers/limbs and eyeballs is all too common.
