It's uhh, 12:49am now and I don't think scary stories would be a good thing to bring up this late at night.. Mainly since I'm home alone :)

Okay, this isn't a true story, :( but I typed it all out before I realized that's what was supposed to be posted. So, is it okay for me to post this? It isn't? Oh well, please ignore the remainder of this post if you do not want to read fiction. My lawyer has informed me that this should be ample protection against an 'off-topic alerting flame'. I pay him well, so I hope it works... :p

You are born, and at that moment there is a small invincible bug looking thing created on the other side of the world. It crawls toward you at a slow speed, maybe that of a roly-poly, or snail perhaps. If it touches you, you die. It cannot be contained. If contained somehow, it will appear on the opposite side of the physical plane that it is tangent to.

Now lets say one day your swimming in a lake wearing a mask, and you see the bug on you mask, getting very close to touching you. You take the mask off and the bug falls to the ground and starts toward you. If you move to the side of the bug, it turns right back toward you. When you try to smash it, with shoes on of course, nothing happens, and it keeps getting closer.

Now lets say you have just been arrested, and your handcuffed in the back of a patrol car. You see the bug on the divider screen between the front and rear of the car. It's coming for you. You move the other seat. You think to yourself: If I just alternate seats, then I can avoid it. Just then, the officer comes back to the car, and buckles your belt. You tell him about the bug, but he doesn't see it. You're one crazy mofo as far is he's concerned. The officer drives you to the station. Meanwhile the bug creeps toward you. You keep it from getting on your legs, but once it goes past your legs and under the bottom part of the seat, there is little that you can do. You just hope the officer lets you out of the car before it gets to you. :D

Heres one, I think its an old story that you've probably heard before (or at least a variation of it), but here goes:

A girl went back to her dorm room late one night to get her books before heading to her boyfriend's dorm room for the night. She entered, but did not turn on the light, knowing that her roommate was sleeping. She stumbled around the room in the dark for several minutes, gathering books, clothes, toothbrush, etc. before finally leaving.

The next day, she came back to her room to find it surrounded by police. They asked if she lived there and she said yes. They took her into her room, and there, written in blood on the wall, were the words, "Aren't you glad you didn't turn on the light?" Her roommate was being murdered while she was getting her things.

Are we scared yet?

Nothing scary, other than being up at 4:30 A.M. with no job and 40 bucks in the bank.

ISA, that's some nutty stuff..dc's right. that would make a good story for a short story or something...

late.

Made up story time :) (i'm bored)

It's been a bad week, unable to pay your rent you have been tossed out of your dingy apartment. It's cold and wet and you are walking down a dark city street, homeless and alone. An insidious chill creeps into your bones and you know that if you don't keep moving you may soon succumb to the foul weather.

Just as desperation begins to take a hold of your mind you spot a door leading off the street that is ajar. Curiousity takes control and you find yourself poking your head through the gap. The room beyond is very dark but off in the distance you see flickering of lights. As if drawn to them like a moth to a flame you edge into the building, slowly feeling your way down a pitch black corridor.

At the end of the corridor you discover the source of the lights,an old movie theatre. A black and white western is playing. In the dull haze you can discern a single figure seated in the stands. You take a seat beside the mysterious individual. Something about the person is familiar but it is too dark for you to see their face.

There is no sign that your presence has been acknowledged. Tired, you begin to fall asleep.Your head begins to bob and lull as consciousness begins to dimish. However just before you close your eyes you sense movement in the dark.

One of your neighbour's hands is extending towards you.

Unsure what this means you recoil slightly.

A brief moment of illumination from the screen reveals a pottle of some sort.

"He's offering me food you think".

You remember how hungry you are. Ravenously you devour the contents of the container, wedges covered in some weird dipping sauce.

Just as you finish the curtains at the front of the theatre begin to drop. Evidently the movie is over. Lights overhead come on, blinding you briefly. As your vision recovers you get your first glimpse of the person sitting beside you.

He turns to you and says

" Hi, I'm Pee Wee Herman, who are you?"
