Itching for a new XBox360 game ... help me.

So far, in my head are:
NHL '09
Street Fighter 4
NFL (latest madden game)

On the edge of my head:
Resident Evil 5

I want something fun. I've hated the NHL series fora long time ,but people actually say 09 is good.

SF4 ... simply because I think I might have the same fun I did 10-15 years ago.

Madden because it is Madden.

EDIT:
I want something that has alot of replay value from the single player experience. That's why RE5 is a lower rung. Once you beat it, there is no replay value (in my opinion)

Way to give us a narrow idea of what you're looking for 😛

Do you want a sports game or something else. That's step one. Step two, do you want to beat people up or kill zombies 😛

As mentioned, if you liked SF2 why not give SF4 a shot? I've never been a big fan of the SF games so it wasn't my cup of tea, but you might enjoy it.

RE5 was pretty good but I'm still hacked about them charging for the vs DLC so I find myself hesitant to recommend it. The game isn't bad, but I don't think it'll have the longevity that the others can offer.

download the demos is my best recommendation and see how you like them and go from there

SF2 or SF4? if you really are talking about SF2, just get the HD remix, otherwise SF4 will give a great return on your gaming dollars

Thus my like for sports games. Tiger Woods was fun for like 3 months.

I think SF4 will be good because it will take time to get good at and beat with all the characters.

Personally in your shoes I'd suggest SF4 then. I played through RE5 four times but those 4 playthroughs happen pretty fast. It was a fun game but I think you'll enjoy SF4 for a much longer time. Even if you don't play online I think it offers fans of the series alot of replay value, between getting all the characters and beating it on various difficulties and such.

The Be A Pro mode in NHL is amazing, you'll play it for a LONG time if you want to build your guy up. Best single player sports game I've played in a while, for sure.

I wouldn't get SF4 without getting a fightpad/fightstick controller as well. The d-pad on the stock controller is horrible.

Resident Evil 5 and Street Fighter IV are the way to go.

RE5 is a pretty intense experience, especially on Veteran and there are tons of stuff to unlock, mercenaries and online multiplayer (coop and competitive with a 3.99 add on)

And then after that it's boring cus you've done everything there is to do.

I got Madden '09 and hate it.

Way to complicated. I remember when Madden was fun.

You went the Madden route? Boo.

Should have listened to the masses 😛

I debated it on my way out. SF4 would require that i spend alot of time learning the moves.

NHL '09 ..... I can't imagine how they would have made it simple and fun again.

NFL '09 ..... Well, it's still the same game but I miss the simple nature of the ol' days where things were slightly easier.

RE5 is simply not of interest to me.

In hindsight, I'll try playing more Madden but if I don't like it by Monday, I'm selling it off.

Don't really think that "spending the time learning the moves" is a bad thing, you want longevity, right? Now, you don't want frusterating levels of said longevity but I think you'd have really enjoyed SF4. On fighting games that I've enjoyed (Tekken, Soulcalibur) I really enjoyed learning the moves and combos. It's time consuming but it's fun to get a level of "non-suckyness" that I strove for.

Last NHL game I played was '97, twaz alot of fun but there's only so much you can do to spruce up a hockey game. 😛 I've never liked the Madden games. NFL Blitz was more my speed.

Give it some time and if you don't enjoy Madden I'd say sell it off or try to trade it for a copy of NHL or SF4.

Just my $0.02
