IT7 STABlE with 1GB memory and 400mhz RAM

Wow
IT7
2.26
Volcano 7+
XMS3200 512meg (2) = 1GB

I am running at default voltages:
150mhz FSB 400mhz memory
Prime95 and 3DMArk2001Se for 24 hours
55 celcius max (low speed quite fan)

Anyone try Enhanced DRAM?

Have you tried higher than 150fsb with a different (lower) memory ratio? I'd like to see what your 2.26 tops out at on default voltage.

So far I have only tried 166mhz FSB with 1:1 memory ratio. That was stable.

I think that is 2.8Ghz.

Again, this is at the default voltage.

Yep, about 2.82. Pretty nice!

PS What do you mean about "Enhanced DRAM"? The bios setting?

So here are my final default voltage speeds:

2.81 on teh CPU
1GB XMS3200
166mhz FSB
3:4 mem ratio
422mhz Memory 2-6-3-3
Enhanced DRAM off

How do I check if it is 1T or 2T? This is not an option in the bios

CPU temps (volcano LOW SPEED QUITE FAN 7+)
45Idle (case 35) 55 under load
Making the fan go faster is cooler but louoder

I think with the Abit boards "Turbo" for memory means 1T. Not sure about Enhanced but I'd try it. Measure your memory bandwith with Sandra.

WOW, nice job!

With "Enhanced DRAM" enabled, my points went up only by a few in Sandra (XMS3000 @ 3:4/177MHz). Not sure what Enhanced DRAM is for by the way?

I am going to try this when I get home from work.

I saw your other post about the 7/2/02 BIOS. How is that working for you?

So far, the IT7 is an excellent MB.

Bios 7/02/2002 is working great. It actually recognized my CPU for a change. Whenever I would reset the bios, it would not display the correct CPU speed (1.7GHz at 100fsb), now that is not the case.

That is the only thing I?ve noticed really, but it running great, and YES this mobo rocks!

It is working well., Will try to flash the bios

I cannto get Enhanced ram to work no matter what settings with the 2 DIMMS.
Oh well, This is amazingly fast.

Anyone having occasionl loss of the USB2 ports (the Intel ones).

A few times on boot up it did NOT see my keyboard and had to plu/unpolug.

Using the new drivers

Sometimes that will happen with my mouse (ms optical). It only happens when I disconnect my mouse, usually when I want to open my case. All I do is unplug and plug it back in, and the light on my mouse will come on (thus working again).
