IT7-MAX2 Will not booty Windows

Today I received my new IT7-Max2-Rev2, a 2.4 Ghz P4, and 512 Meg Kingston HyperX PC2700. I installed it in place of my old TH7II. It will not successfully boot into Windows. It consistently reboots everytime it tries to load Windows XP. Everything initially appears normal and the black flash screen appears for a few seconds. Then a BSOD flashes so quickly it is impossible to read anything off of it. The board then just reboots and the cycle starts all over. Behavior is similar when trying to boot into safe mode. I have pulled every card except the graphics card (Ti200).

Any suggestionsould be appreciated. I had high hopes for this combination but now it wont even properly light off.

Good question. The CPU fan is plugged into FAN2. Both the manual and the markings on the board ID this connector for the CPU. I also made sure "Shutdown when CPU Fan Fail" is Disabled in the bios.

Speaking of power supply connectors, the TH7II that I replaced had three connectors for the power supply:

ATXPR1
ATX12V
AUXPWR

The IT7 only has two connectors:

ATXPR1
ATX12V

There is no AUXPWR connector. Am I missing something obvious?

Did you reinstall XP when you swapped the mobo? Sometimes it will work if you just swap them and it redetects everything, but sometimes it detects the new mobo as a "hardware problem" or something and just gives a BSOD.

I agree. These boards are very different and you should re-install windows XP, and everything should run fine.
