IT7-MAX2 v2 Not recognizing all 3 stick of memory?

I just installed 2 new sticks of 512mb Corsair memory into my IT7-MAX2 v2 along with the 3rd stick. The board is only recognizing 1GB of RAM here and I can't seem to figure out why? Timings are 2-2-2-5 and it's all at stock speeds of 2.53GHz CPU. Any ideas?

The IT7-Max2 v2.0 uses a 845 chipset which has a banking limitation of 1 double sided module and two single sided modules. So, if you install two double sided modules in slots one and two it would render the third slots useless. The best configuration for the 845 chipset is 3 512MB single sided modules which the motherboard can see and use. How do you tell if you have a sigle or double sided module? Just look at how many components (chips) are on each side. If the black chips are only on one side then it is single sided, both sides then double sided. Since single sided 1GB modules are not released yet for main stream sales you could use 1 1GB module and 2 sigle sided 512MB modules for a total of 2gigs.

Hope this helps.

UGH! I think they're all double sided! Hmm....what to do what to do. I don't think I'm going to go out and buy another motherboard so....

Any ideas? Maybe sell the old one?

I think I'm going to have to do a full XP reinstall also because even with 1GB RAM, 2.53GHz CPU, and 9800pro, at 1024x768 on medium settings I'm getting 30fps in UT2k4
