It was record breaking warm here today

I think we hit 70degrees, and now all these flying, crawling, attracted to the light of my computer screen bugs have come to life and are having their last hurrah.

Yup, same here. We've already had a dusting of snow this winter, and it was below freezing just last week. The plant life has to be confused as all hell right now.

This is bull. It's friggin' NOVEMBER. I don't want it to be 70. I want it to be cold and depressing, the way autumn/winter should be.

Actually, you were just having hot flashes. The flies can just smell the menopause.

It was super hot here on saturday/sunday as well. Don't know if it broke any records though as it has been warmer later due to global warming, in the past 5-10 years or so. Our winters are much shorter then they were before. The upside is I finally managed to go put some more insulation in my attic. Did not really feel like going in there when it's below zero. I think it helped too. There was a few "blind spots" which were probably major heat losses. The furnace has not ran since supper and I'm sitting at 17 degrees in here right now.

Would be fun to own one of those thermal imaging devices so I can see exactly where the heat losses are. Those are not exactly "affordable" though. 😛

Oh, and I don't have the bugs that mosh has, but there has been a ton, like just about 2 dozen on and around my car, and plenty more around (and a couple got in through garage) my house, ladybugs. I don't know what's up, I've never seen so many like that.

we had 16C on Sunday and 14C today.

I can only imagine how hot 70º would feel in your world.

In our world, it feels right. That's because we use real science numbers! Your pseudo numbers don't fly here, that's how we do it, and it's worked well so far.
