So says Perry Beam one of the attendees of a rodeo at the Missouri State Fair. A clown wearing an Omama mask entered the ring. The announcer asked the enthusiastic spectators if they wanted to see "Obama run down by a bull."

Perry Beam was among the spectators Saturday in Sedalia. He said "everybody screamed" and "just went wild" as the announcer talked about having the bull run down the clown with the Obama mask.

"It was at that point I began to feel a sense of fear. It was that level of enthusiasm," Beam, a 48-year-old musician from Higginsville, said Sunday, referring to the reaction from the crowd that filled the fair's grandstand.

He said another clown ran up to the one wearing the Obama mask, pretended to tickle him and played with the lips on the mask. After about 15 minutes into the performance, the masked clown had to leave after a bull got too close, Beam said.

Seems some Republicans did the right thing and condoned the so called show.
The antics led the state's second highest-ranking official, Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder, to denounce the performance in a tweet Sunday. He said it was "disrespectful" to the president.

"We are better than this," the Republican tweeted.

State Fair officials said the show was "inappropriate" and "does not reflect the opinions or standards" of the fair. "We strive to be a family friendly event and regret that Saturday's rodeo badly missed that mark," they said in a statement Sunday

However, other Republicans whom I guess have not gotten the rebranding memos from the RNC, embraced the described "Klan rally". Rep. Steve Stockman (R-Tex.) calling it "Texas value speech"

I think you meant condemned. Condoned would mean they thought the antics were acceptable.

Bringing in race into something like this is completely wrong and it's completely tacky.

Unlike this however it seems the mask wearer was merely tacky.

Yeah, it's like putting a swastika up in your front lawn. You might just like the tacky design but some uppity folks might get offended by it.

I think it was funny.

And at this point, who's really defending Obama? He's pissed off enough Americans. Both with R's and D's next to their name.

Race issue not found however. This Perry Beam individual is an idiot.

If democrats stopped calling everything a race issue, I would imagine we would have very few real racially motivated stunts....

Also, has anyone ever heard of a little thing called the first amendment?

WOW! Another race baiting thread from one of the biggest race baiters here. They have done this to bush, clinton, bush sr, reagan and many other presidents. This wasn't racism at all since they have done this numerous times to whites. Apparently the OP and the idiot in the article have never been to a rodeo.

Shame on you for trying to make this about race.

Yup, just another race baiting thread from my main man homer.

Making fun of the president has gone on forever. But, of COURSE, when it happens to obama it's "Racist".

So let's get this straight.... They treat obama EXACTLY like every other president.... and it's racist. You would prefer they treat him different because he's a medium brown, and that is not racist??

Good thing he was only wearing and Omama mask. Imagine the outrage if he donned an Obama mask and said that.

Constitution be damned.

Also, loving the race baiting that is allowed to go on here.

I seem to recall a number of pictures of Bush as a monkey. I suspect insulting Obama in the same was Bush was, would be slammed as racism as well.

Agree. The ignorance displayed in this thread is just amazing. This is nothing like the klan and the people that believe in this nonsense are part of the reason why race relations have worsened under obama.

Where was the outrage when they did this to bush? There wasn't because it was the other side.

Yes, because all Presidents have been white in the past and subject to all sorts of lampooning, some of which are in really bad tastes.

Fortunately for people like the OP this president had one black parent. He can use that quite effectively. First he can paint what has been done before as something racist, which was not demonstrated at all. He can protect Obama merely by trivializing the important problems of genuine racism and point out how unholy people like the clown are compared to himself or you for that matter.

Considering the two the clown is less offensive. He didn't say or even imply anything which would abuse or use blacks and genuine issues of race. That's something for the OP and his ilk do.

There is no evidence this is racist. Did you have the same problem when it was done to bush?

If it was done to Bush as well, then clearly the only conclusion is that it's ok for white people to be trampled by bulls but not black people.

Which is, in and of itself, racist. It's like Inception: Racism Edition. :sly:

I truly feel like people like homer, classy, and the rest of the race brigaiders are by FAR the most racially divisive people in our society.

They are much worse than some leftover old man racist screaming at brownish kids. Much worse than the last dying breed of business owners who hire based on race.

These racist people are frowned upon by modern society, but for some reason hugely divisive topics just like this thread are promoted as somehow helping race relations when it does the EXACT opposite.

Exactly. They're like the race baiters who want racism to stay so they can always complain about and use it keep the people divided. al sharpton is one of the biggest race baiters and loves racism so he can keep his job and complain about the evil white man.

ITT: Some people who get butt-hurt by a stupid mask of our current president. Not surprisingly, they make it yet another race issue.

Anyone ever get one of those drawings where you sit down at a carnival or something and the artists draws a mock-up of you? They usually draw people with big lips, those RACIST BASTARDS SHOULD BE BURNED!

tl;dr: A lesson in life for everyone that few people can comprehend: Everything is only as offensive as you make it.

We've had the race brigaiders on here seriously stating that ANY exaggerated features in a drawing is in fact racism.

That charactitures promote racism in society, and are nothing more than one more way white people support 'hidden racism'.

But.... These are the same people who go through life literally processing every single situation and detail to see how they can make it out to be racist, so it's really not surprising that they feel that way.

Sounds like some folks would like the Sedition Act put back in place.
