Sorry to hear it man but it doesn't look that bad from the video and pics. I'd imagine you could buff it out unless it's worse than it looks.

Very jealous of your car by the way. I'm hoping to get into a C6 this time next year.

not sure about that... like a *divot (think of plastic when you hit it with something sharp)... the bumper is *urethane

I will take it to a body shop though and ask

that will buff out

starting to think it won't... I took another look this morning. It's not really a scratch, more of a divot

buffing usually applies to scratches in the clearcoat, this really isn't the case here.

either way, I will go to a body shop on Friday and see what they say

Unless it was changed for the C6 and I have not read or seen it, your bumper is not fiberglass. It is urathane like most other bumpers.

And that is not that bad. Try and buff. If that does not work then use some filler and hit it with some touch up paint.

I assumed it was (nearly every other body panel is, minus the fenders which are carbon fiber), but after doing some more research you are correct... the front bumper is urethane

I'd almost rather do nothing then do this... I've seen some horrible attempts with filler+touchup paint. We'll see what happens on friday

at some point today my front bumper was hit/bumped/nudged into, on the vette

video walking around the spot (wanted to try out the evo 4g video camera!)

sucks... and it's not easily repairable... i knew this day would come since I drive the car everyday (i.e. daily driver... for now), but it still sucks

Totally repairable. Looks like nicked clear coat - get clear coat touch up, layer it on and then cut it down.

Right after you get it repaired, a nice sharp rock from a truck will nail it dead center.

Just to cheer you up.

LOL? I can't even see anything wrong with it.

Regardless $50-100 later at a bodyshop for a few minutes there will take care of anything wrong with a mere bumper cover. Hell buy a new bumper cover for what they all cost, like $200 at most.
