I don't think I'd say that women have it far easier than men, just different.

the lovely geekbabe pointed out many ways that women are judged differently than men...and while she was making fun of it, underlying it all, it's true.

Most men would refuse to give up their careers to raise a family, yet it's what women are expected to do.

A man may have a beer gut...and it's OK, but if a woman puts on a couple of extra pounds...why the fat heifer..she'd better go on a diet. Never mind that she's still a size 2.

Women definitely have it worse than men for that one week per month...or if they get pregnant. There's no fucking way I'd ever want to have a baby...to have 6-10 pounds of screaming flesh pulled out of my "orifice"...no fucking thanks.

Are women often "pampered?" Yes they are...sometimes, but not all, and not always.

There've been times in my working career when my wife worked and I stayed home with the kids...usually during the winter when construction was slow. GAWD DAMMIT! I NEED A JOB! Housework, when done RIGHT, can be tough...and taking care of the kids...they're a lot of fucking work too, especially little ones.

#1. Women aren't really "expected" to do anything anymore. If a woman chooses to have a kid, that's empowering. If they chose NOT to have a kid, why that's empowering too. I'm sorry but the notion that chicks get judged for choosing a career over having kids is WAY dated these days, man.

#2. Women walk around with their stomachs hanging out of t-shirts that are 3 sizes too small all the time. It's accepted. Men doing that are universally derided as slobs. I'm not denying men get off easier for being a few pounds overweight, but that was a bad example of how.

#3. You really think a chick being on her period is all that awful? The vast vast vast majority of women will tell you it's inconvenience and nothing more. The whole idea of it being this mind altering, unbearable form of punishment is pretty much relegated to stale observational humor.

#4. Pregnancy I'm not gonna touch. You're right, that's awful.

If you took all the stuff men had to put up with, and subtracted the perks they get for being a man, and then came out with a number, that number would be higher than the one for chicks after doing the same calculation. Even if you don't agree, at least that's debatable. You are never ever ever ever going to convince a functional human being that women somehow have it HARDER than men in America today, however.

I strongly disagree with this statement. You're telling me if you found some smoking hot rich wife who was going to take care of you for the rest of your life and the only obligation from you was that you had to take care of the kids, you wouldn't jump at the opportunity?

So if big girls make up a majority of the females in the US, then a lot of men who claim to hate them are either lying, lonely, or lucky to have found a regular sized one. My math tells me something is wrong here, is a majority of men like a minority of the females (skinny ones) There's simply not enough skinny chicks for all the men who don't like big girls. So how exactly does this work?

The statistic has to do with being overweight, not obese.. and the data, like all statistics, has its ups and downs. I'm on a cut right now so I just dropped a bit of body weight that took me from obese to overweight, my current bf% is 15. Sure, I'm not the majority, but you wanted to talk about sub-populations.

Also, arguing that there are many fat people, and they have a SO, so clearly some people PREFER fatties is absurd. That's just plainly a fallacy. People settle. It's a fact. You take what you can get. Just because you married an obese person doesn't mean you PREFER one.
