For win 8, just install some bars on your monitor to turn it into a touch screen?

In the past I've seen some overlay panels you can put on monitors. They sucked though. Killed the clarity of the screen and their accuracy was nowhere near as good as a real touch screen. At least this was true of the ones I've ever come in contact with.

Like, the nook simple touch uses a sort of light sensor one that shines a thin laser or led light at the edges, and then registers when you cross it.
