Well, you knew it was only a matter of time before somebody linked the shootings in MD to vid-yeh games, and it turns out to be today! If you turn on the Today Show right now you might catch him.

Edit: scant information to begin with so somebody might be able to catch the rest of the show.

You can see a clip here, i think (though i haven't seen it, what with dialup and all)

Idiot

The basic argument this guy--whose name escaped me--suggests is that games are training people how to become snipers.

To back up his case, he says that the killer(s) might be as young as fifteen, and that the objective in the mission is perhaps to kill more people than were killed in Columbine.

It Seems to me he's just using this to advance a political cause of his own. Pretty sick.
It's just some wanker trying to cash in on this situation by spouting some controversial BS. There is a whole bunch of these Wankers who have made this a Cottage Industry. They do the Talk Show Circuit using their Worthless Degrees in Sociology to give their nonsensical BS Credibility

As if the sniper's random killings weren't scary enough... gosh, that's a scary thought.

the average counter-strike player couldnt hit a basketball at 50 yards with a real rifle, let alone consistently shoot people in the head at 100+ yards. That's not terribly easy folks. Shooting a deer in the chest - big frickin target. Shooting a moving human being in the head without missing - NOT easy. I really think this guy has military training. Unfortunately the spin will continue until he is caught.
