Standing at a users cubicle, I noticed she needed some help and was expereienceing some issues with Citrix. She is a rather large person, so I was trying to avoid asking her to move. I realize now that I just should have asked her to move and would have avoided:

<ME> Hrm...It looks like I'll need to log in because I need the admin rights to look into something.

<USER> Oh! ....ok!

<ME> Can you do me a favor, go ahead and click on the start button.

<USER> ..uuum <searches around the desktop with mouse and double clicks MY Computer>

<ME> Doh, nope not "My Computer". In the lower left hand corner...the green button that says "Start"?

<USER> Oh tee hee hee....<double clicks the Start button>

<ME> :Q ok thats fine. Just so you know, you don't need to double click that in the future. Ok, now click on "Log Off"...the yellow but-

<USER> <double clicks SHUT DOWN>

<ME> Oh wait....nononono....just click cancel!

<USER> Um....oh shoot. <moves mouse over and clicks "OK". Computer begins it's shutdown process! User turns around and looks at me> ............<blink>.....did I just crash the network?

<ME> ......What. The. Fvck.

ROFL - Tell her to go walk a couple of laps around the building while you fix her issues.

This is such a true statement, lol.

Its really only annoying when it's happening. Looking back, it cracks me up (and the co-workers).

LOL Seriously how do they do that? I've come across that myself you tell them something and they're like uh ok and then do something totally opposite. Last night before we closed shop this guy wanted to buy some CDRs but we can't cash him out as we're just a vendor in this store. So the guy was like oh ok well I'll use my CC. Then we tried to explain to him that sorry we are not apart of this store and we can't check you out. Then he was like oh ok well what do I do then? I'm sure the store will let you check me out. We had to explain to him and show him where the check out registers were. You can clearly see the registers and he acknowledged he could see them too but he still couldn't figure it out. Then he finally said OH those registers, OH OK!

Double clicky click click. *bitch slaps dumb user* ok, I'm just kidding. Screaming at her and making her cry is more enjoyable.

I feel your pain, but from the "I try to write software for these idiots" point of view.

Sometimes you just have those days. I was so frazeled yesterday after work if someone would have told me my shoes were untied I probably would have taken off my jacket.
