Little help please.
The first assignment in this course I'm taking is to send my prof an email with an attachment.
Simple enough. The problem is, satisfying the basics of this assignment earns 90 points. In order to earn a 100, we have to do something "extra" and explain why it is worth 10 points. I am at a complete loss for ideas of jazzing up an email. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

That's the first thing everyone has suggested!
I'm attaching a WORD file with some biographical information.

I have a good suggestion. If you are using Java, then you can send her an email with a PDF attachment that you used Java to create. Look here for the required JAR file. It is quite easy to do and shouldn't take more than a few minutes to create a basic PDF with iText.

If you really want to spruce it up, you could send the email using JavaMail. :D

Your teacher doesn't want anything super fancy; she just wants you to do something. I'd suggest adding voting buttons by clicking the "options" button on the top of the email you're composing and checking "use voting buttons". Cange the default voting options from "yes;no" to "I deserve an A+;I deserve an A++". Forget what these other jokers have said.

That is what I would do. Just something small.

Or, I would subscribe your prof to a bunch of pron sites using his e-mail :D

If you're using Microsoft Outlook, make your email an invitation to an event, where the prof can accept or decline the invitation. You should still be able to include your attachment.

If prof = guy, send invitation to lunch.

If prof = hot babe, send invitation to dinner. ;)

Do I need to use MS Outlook for this? I'm using Eudora (freeware) now.

Garet Jax- Thanks for the suggestion, but I am clueless when it comes to Java!

Yeah, that's for outlook. Never used eudora. Maybe even just setting the message importance to high will do. I'm sure you can do that in Eudora.

Maybe BCCing her instead of placing her address in the To line would impress her.

I am by no means new to computers or email but I cant seem to find that option in Outlook 2000 under options.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks.

If you get outlook up and running, you can make a contact card as an attachment that she can save into her contact list, assuming she's using outlook as well.
