It is pretty damn cold here in Northern Alberta too ... I can sympathize. This morning it was -37 degrees celcius (pretty much the same in fahrenheit). My car, although parked in the garage, took some serious loving to get going this morning.

The 30 mph winds don't help with the windchill, which puts us close to -50 too.

I love winter though ... you can always put on more clothing, whereas in warmth, I can only get so nekkid. 🙂

Yep, just checked weather.com and it claims it will be chillier but sunny on the weekend. Still, the temps aren't too shabby for it being January and all. Spring is right around the corner. I can live with this mild winter we've had until then. 😉

Well, the clutch cable snapped when I tried to start my truck this morning. It was plugged in and ready to start, and then suddenly the clutch pedal went all limp to the floor. Then the truck wouldn't turn over because I couldn't push the clutch. Luckily the wife's car did better and is running as I type. In fact, I've gotta go. 🙁

 

i stood outside downtown chicago for 4 hours 2 years ago when it was -30 with windchill

i think my left nipple died that day...it hasn't been the same ever since

I'm curious to know what -50 feels like. The worst I've walked around in is probably 15-20 or something and that is just numbing, annoyingly cold. I would think it stings to go outside.
