He probably plans on wearing a T-Shirt that says "Take the Plunge!" to the interview.

VB and coldfusion are used widely in the corporate world because they are known to be Rapid Application Development tools. The faster you get a product to the market..the more of a headstart you have over hte competition, and the more profit you make.

you know php and mysql right? basic coldfusion should be a piece of cake to pickup. just get yourself a book and read it within a week.

VB Im having a trouble with myself. i know a good deal of C++, perl, and php but i still cant remember the syntax for VB. its so too different for me. However, alot of people know their VB, so if you are a developer in the business world, you should learn your VB

Toilets can serve as RAD tools, but only if your "variables" are flushed properly. If not, they have a tendency to overflow.

Oh, only about a billion. You can dis VB all day long for not being an object oriented language and for encouraging bad programming habits and I'll completely agree with you.
But nothing beats it for fast and easy development of user friendly GUI based apps.
And it's not just for "simple" apps either. We have quite a few rather large complex apps written in VB6.
Sure, maybe they would be cleaner if they were OO and written in Java. But they would have taken twice as long to write and would run slower.
