Stupid and pointless, and yet I can't look away. What is this power that the mundane details of alfa's sorry and uninteresting life has over me. WHAT?

Taken as a whole (pun intended), the entire thread is a toilet wherein each of alfa's postings confronts us on the screen like dingleberries fallen from the short hairs surrounding his unclean anal area.

They turn slowly in the toilet below like small brown balls of sin, staring back at him in mute reproach for him disastrous dietary choices and haphazard personal hygiene.

The searing existential question this works leaves all of us with is, "Why do we look back before flushing? WHY?"

The overall pace is slow and there is little in the way of character development, yet I think this thread speaks to our time in a way I have trouble defining, yet know in my cinematic soul.
