How much does a car cost?

There's a large range depending on the type of service. Anywhere from a couple hundred to a lot.

I don't personally oversee the budgets or have any clue as to what it is now, but about 10 years ago I remember hearing $1200/month as a common expectation.

I've heard that some folks are getting lines put in for half that now. It just depends on where it is and what competition in the area looks like.

a couple years ago i think we were paying $350 for dual T1 as our voice backbone. I've left that company since then though. this was in SOCAL.

I just shopped around for one this summer - was $375-$650 depending on where you looked. Remember that if you go through a third party - the price they quote you is for the data connection only. The loop still has to be paid for as well so you may as well just go ma bell all the way unless your third party provider gives you something in addition that the phone company does not.

In our case it was cheaper to increase the number of DSL lines from 2 to 4. We aren't mission critical so no biggie. Mostly do backups, ftp, vpn, etc through the other 3 that are not used for general browsing.

we pay for ... 13 T1 connections

500-600$ per, at my old work it was 400$ per month.

we now have 10/10 fiber connections...cheaper, and much, MUCH quicker.

Depends who is providing it. Qwest, around 600 a month. Verizon about 500 a month.

I just redid our T1 line here and I called around everywhere and I think I got a good deal at $299 which includes the equipment and entire class c subnet.

$450 - 24 Channels and 15 of them for data and the rest for voice. I also use RR($79) for internet and the T1 as a backup

Qwest charged anywhere from $650 to 900 for a 3mb connection.

Cox charges us $750 for 10MB fiber.

Typically the number of years you agree to pay will greatly impact your price, month to month will be outrageously expensive.

We used to use Sonic.net for a T1 in one of our offices, it was around $550 a month. And we use AT&T in another office with a T1, it is about the same.
