It doesn't feel theres is 10000+ people online..

So right now there is 2747 Viewing the Off topic section. But, it doesn't feel like it. If my maths is right, every thread should get an comment quite rapidly.. guess I'm wrong.

Same goes to the CPUs and Overclocking section.

Just curious, are the stats accurate? :hmm:

hell no. there's probably 20 active viewers in OT at any given time..

those stats take number of hits/time "window"

National Science Agency. All the religious people are mad about it because they think technology is getting too prevalent.

well there is one scanner bot per secret service, counting all the countries there are, it's a credible number.

I think default timer for vbulletin's users online is 15 minutes? But there's ways you can change the setting to make it appear like the forum is more active.

"Online" is meaningless for a web forum. Or nearly so. You can leave the page open all day and you don't hit the servers until you make a request by clicking on something. In terms of performance page requests per some unit of time makes a lot more sense.

That's nothing, you should have been here during the AT forum glory days (about 10 years ago 2000 to 2004-ish).

Post a new thread and it would be on the 2nd page within 30 minutes or so.

You had to sit up, crack your knuckles, and take a deep breath, before you clicked OT.
