it costs me $78/day to live in my house

$15.40 a day including utilities (don't have taxes) and internet. Don't pay for the cable. Love renting 🙂

That said, the money also goes to a relative. So it is win freaking win.

$547.91 Mortgage payment (includes insurance & taxes) * 12 / 365.242199

=

$18.00 per day

Pretty sweet house too!

Without / with utilities (give or take) - $20.50 / $26.66

Moving into a new place next month and I expect that to come down to around $23 with utilities. Love that heat/ac and hot water are included.

$70 Mortgage + Taxes

Anywhere from $13 to $20 in elec&gas though 🙁

I really need to move out of CA

I think it's like ~$24/ day for me including everything. Taxes, insurance, all utilities. No mortgage. I've been mortgage and debt free for several years now.

<13/day if I don't include internet. If I include internet then it's... 14.35 a day (Luckily, two of my neighbors pay me $10/month each for internet access).

However, I am in a very small studio apartment without its own bathroom. 😛

mortgage/30 days.

not including utilities, etc. of course... but it does include property/school taxes.

You?

For me about $1,000 a year in property taxes/365 so about $3 a day. OP, where do you live and what size house do you live in?

... and no, I did not read the whole thread.

we pay $1k in taxes per month, which will be going up next year since we increased the sqft.

We went from ~1500sqft to 2750sqft. $11k/year in taxes to about $16k/year. The town is a factor... school taxes alone are $8k/yr right now (2 years till we actually take advantage). Our old town next door was $7k school + property tax combined (yes the schools there sucked, relatively speaking, and so we moved here).

After the kids are done, we probably will be too. And we thought diapers were expensive...

44 bucks a day for mortgage+taxes+insurance
but actually with utilities and the extra towards mortgage each month its still only 57 a day

Another interesting stat would be to compare what your daily cost is to your hourly income.

For my household one hour of my wife and I's combined income pays for one day of living costs.
