IT Auditing?

Depends. You'll receive a lot of the training you will need on the job. There's computer science majors, management information systems (MIS) majors, business majors. Consider taking a few accounting courses as well just to throw on your resume. It doesn't hurt to have an idea of what the external auditors (aka me!) are doing.

God, I hate auditors, they make my life so hard. Even when you do everything right, they bust your balls.

I am referring to internal audits of my teams servers, and the apps that run on them.

Auditors always have to find something wrong, otherwise it doesn't look like they are doing their job.

Classes and experience in IT and Accounting classes will definitely help!

my company is huge for internal auditing of SOX404, i've done some SOX but i'm mainly information securty and will lend a hand to the SOX teams if needed...
