According to sources familiar with the matter, Bobby Berretta-Paris, a five-year Tesla veteran, was let go last week. He was hired as a recruiter and promoted three times during his tenure. He was also the volunteer president of LGBTQ+ at Tesla.

Sources also told Electrek about a software engineer that was also let go by Tesla last week. They had been working at Tesla for four years – most recently as senior software engineer in charge of naming conventions in Tesla’s vehicle UI team – and had been promoted three times. The software engineer volunteered as a diversity and inclusion leader and was involved in employee protection when it came to issues of diversity and inclusion. (Update: we removed their name.)

note:
To be clear, these are not people whose job was diversity and inclusion. These were people who volunteered time to helping generate diversity and inclusion at Tesla. People who were primarily of lgbtq+ background.

Considering the number of employees at Tesla, two members of the diversity and inclusion programs being laid off seems a low number to make any conclusions.

After having Musk as CEO for 14-years, I think Tesla really needs some change starting at the top.

It is more then just two members.

It was the president ( a recruiter), the replacement president ( a software engineer ), and a whole bunch of other people who happened to be involved in the programs.


Once could be coincidence.
Twice is enemy action.

Who are these who bunch of other people who happened to be involved in the programs? I am not reading more than two people in the article you linked with ties to the diversity and inclusion programs. However I could have just missed this confirmation in the body of the article.

Tesla has laid off both the president of its LGBTQ+ community and a lead involved in diversity and inclusivity programs at the company.

What is the number for "many"? Is it two or is it more? We really don't know from reading this article.
