About 90% of people I see doing squats at the gym have their knees go way past their toes.

I guess they will have fun with their bad knees are old

Not that I know for sure - but last I recall you... ARE supposed to put your knees forward? How else do you not put your knees forward unless you start standing on your heels or toes?

By the way, thats my problem with squats - my feet keep wanting to go up on my tippy toes :( I feel destined to do squats wrong. Maybe I'll pay for a personal trainer sometime.

We should have Tommy2000GT put forth a video of him squatting, so that we can see how the right way to do it is.

generally speaking knees are supposed to track over the feet as opposed to buckling inward or outward. You also need to maintain spinal integrity and not be leaning to far forward at the hips. chest up is a good cue for this.

If only we put all the time we spend learning English into learning squats.....

It's hilarious when I see meat heads trying to squat way more than they should and their knees are buckling outwards

Just make sure most of the weight is on your heels.
If you do that, it usually fixes the knee position.

I love watching people do pull-ups at the gym. 9 times out of 10 they'll pull themselves up and just bob their head on either side of the bar, and then think they're so badass with their ten "pull-ups". It's real funny.

If everyone squatted with correct form, hardly ANYONE would be squatting with over 200 pounds.

Its either knees buckling, way past the toes OR 99% of the time they are doing like 1/4 squats that don't count for shit.

But they have 3 45 plates on each side so they are liftin, bros.

Not over the heals, it should be in straight line over your mid-foot, which is just in front of the heal.
