Hello, I have a MSI SLI PLUS X99S Motherboard paired with a Samsung M.2 XP941, and when I use windows 8.1, the ssd performance is amazing, Sequential reads above 1000 MB/s, 4K queue depth 32 reads are above 300 MB/s.
Now when I install windows 10 (all builds including the latest january one) which uses a new storage driver, the system gets very laggy, and when I test the SSD, sequential reads are fine, above 1000 MB/s. However the 4K queue depth 32 reads are at an abysmal ~1.4 MB/s which I think is what is making the system so spazzy and stuttery. If I install Windows 10 on a conventional SSD on the same system, it runs perfectly.
Is anyone using one of these XP941 successfully on Windows 10? or is there something wrong with my SSD? or Motherboard/SSD combination possibly?
Any insight would help. Let me know if you are using a m.2 drive successfully with windows 10. Thanks.
