I have been having some issues with my HD during startup and even when I am playing games, listening to music, etc. Sometimes during startup, the HD spins up and then dies and the computer won't boot up. Even during usage, the HD just turns off. I have tried replacing HD and all of them (tried two more) had the same problem. I thought it might have been the IDE cable, but I switched that one and it still occurred. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is it maybe the motherboard or the Power supply? I would be thankful for any help :)

IDE controller..quite possibly..if you can get hold of a separate controller card ..would help isolate..

Ok, I tried using a seperate IDE controller card...no problems...I guess my MOBO is having a bad day...time to find another one. What would you recommend for a replacement?

Abit NF7 or Asus A7N8X. You might be able to OC that CPU to 3200+ even if you haven't done so yet.
