Guys,

I have a Toshiba Satellite A305-S6898 laptop that has a ATI Mobility Radeon Hd3470 on it. I cant seem to find a driver that WORKS with a HDMI out TV. Before i formatted my laptop, the driver on it worked where the TV screen would be full, at 1280x720. This driver has the TV full, but when i maximize a window on it, IT cuts off the top, bottom of the browser etc.

Anyone know a good modded driver ? Omega hasnt released any for Win7 64 bit, and i have tried every single driver from toshiba, which does NOT work.

I would appreciate any help !

That laptop was probably released before ATI (now AMD) started supporting laptop graphics chips in general driver releases. Even now for some manufacturers, including Toshiba, you're supposed to get the driver from the manufacturer. You can get it either on a general drivers DVD that came with the laptop, or from Toshiba's support website.

you need to get the driver from the notebook manufacturer's page.

some of ati's notebook drivers such as the one you are having issues with are tailor made to each individual notebook manufacturer's model.

Before i wiped vista off my laptop (Laptop was bought new 11/08) There was a option to backup ALL the toshiba drivers and sw onto a DVD. I did that, I even try using the display driver on it, and its still having issues on the TV. I am unsure as to why this is happening, because the last driver i had, filled up the screen without any extra space, and any windows maximized on it, would appear normal.

you cant download them from toshiba's site?

you may be stuck if they dont work because its likely they dont make updates to such an old model.

Well, I downloaded the original from toshibas website, which is the original driver that they released, and that didnt seem to work.

You may want to try using a driver sweeper and then install the manufacturer drivers.
