I have the ASUS Formula Rampage motherboard.

Had a power cut last night and now I cannot turn my PC on using the standard power button on the front of the case (It's an ATX PSU).

I have to use the power button which is on the motherboard PCB!! Everything works fine once it's powered up.

I know I'm missing something but cannot see the wood for the trees. Any help would be appreciated.

Check the pins that connect the cases power buttons to the motherboard are secure or something could have shorted out during the cut (if your PC was on?).

Thanks Sylvanas,

I've messed about pressing the reset button on the motherboard, resetting the BIOS, reloading default settings, checked the power connections and....it's started working so something has resolved the problem as to what it was I have no idea. :)
